Inspired by medieval theatrical structures and the mystical philosophy of St. Teresa of Avila’s The Interior Castle, this work explores the soul’s metanoia through a progression across seven symbolic chambers. Departing from traditional religious didacticism, the performance visualizes a spiritual evolution where each room represents a distinct space-time continuum of internal development. Structured as a sequence of Stations of the Cross, the narrative moves from the sensory noise of the temporal world toward a state of spiritual union and contemplation. By treating each stage as a moment of contemplative stillness, the work transforms the mystical journey into a universal reflection on the human condition and the search for a higher order within the self.
