Visual artist, director, performer, medium, jaguar-the cosmic priest, you decide 🧠🏺🪐🐆
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź with a degree in theater, film, and television techniques (2017) and intermedia (2020). Currently, in my creative practice, I am most interested in painting – it is my most primary medium, and I have always returned to it cyclically. Previously, however, I was mainly involved in theater and film, as well as ephemeral activities such as performance art. Nevertheless, all my activities were, in a sense, a transfer of painting or collage ideas.
My works are often characterized by grotesqueness – they combine one big mess and trash with an attempt to capture the sacred, a search for dormant power. In a bizarre way, they unite seemingly unrelated elements of reality and give them the status of a magical ritual. I am a member of the ELIPSA Collective in Łódź, which experiments in the field of performative activities. I also collaborate with film and theater directors, creating set designs, costumes, and multimedia, e.g., at TR Warszawa and Teatr Nowy in Łódź. My works have been shown, for example, at the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź (2018, 2019), at the Scena w Budowie Festival in Lublin (2018, 2019), the Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź (2019), Warsaw Gallery Weekend (2020), and at The Best Diplomas in Gdańsk (2021).
